‘It’s outrageous’: Chermside kindergarten parents concerned over safety

West Chermside kindergarten parents have raised concerns over child safety following the approval of an $18 million school expansion.

The Craigslea State High School has received approval to construct a three-storey multi-purpose sporting hall located next to the C&K West Chermside Pre Prep kindergarten.

Julia Hughes, C&K West Chermside Pre Prep parent told Peter Gleeson on Drive, “I don’t think they’re [the government] keeping them safe at all. I think they’re putting young children’s lives in jeopardy, in their health and safety, and their education…”

“Well a best-case scenario for us, would be for them to change the footprint of the build, we have never said not do to the build, we have always asked for some middle-range to meet us at…” Ms. Hughes continued.
