Indoor skatepark finally re-opens after COVID-19 forced its closure

Greg Cary

An indoor skatepark forced to close up shop during teh COVID-19 pandemic amidst restrictions and lockdowns has finally re-opened.

RampAttak has re-opened in Ipswich, and owner Wayne Larkin admits it was tough going for a while.

“It was a long drawn-out process … we canvassed around to try and find the correct building to utilise the pre-existing ramps we had,” he told Greg Cary, filling in for Sofie Formica.

He said they nearly threw in the towel.

“I’d given up, about 3-4 months ago, I thought it was over, I thought it was finished.”
