Identity of remains found at Alderley unit still a mystery to police

4bc news

The identity of a woman whose body was found at an Alderley unit remains a mystery to homicide detectives.

Contracted cleaners discovered the woman’s remains behind a housing commission complex in early December.

It had been tightly wrapped and partially buried in a void behind a besser block wall, covered by clothing and bedding.

An autopsy has established the woman, who is believed to have been aged between 30 and 55, died between 2009 and 2015.

She was between 155 and 165 centimetres tall, a size 10, had brown hair and wore prescription glasses.

The Queensland Police Service is appealing for anyone with information to come forward and assist with investigations.
