How to pick the perfect prawn for Christmas
A favourite for the Christmas lunch spread is prawns. But which ones do you buy?
Deborah Knight covers all bases with seafood expert Alex Stollznow from Sydney Fish Market.
“If I can give you one tip for prawns this Christmas; the bigger the prawn gets, the more expensive it gets. But generally, it doesn’t taste better.
“You’ll get much more bang for your buck by getting the small, small to medium [size].”
Alex also recommends peeling them just before you eat.
“And the best at the job eats the most prawns.”
