A foundation is helping patients take virtual holidays from their hospital beds, allowing them to experience travel and connection without leaving their room.

Leukaemia survivor Damien Thompson joined Luke Bradnam on 4BC Breakfast to discuss the technology that is allowing patients to go on a virtual holiday from their hospital bed.

“You’re immersed in the actual environment, you actually think you’re there,” Thompson said on 4BC Breakfast.

“It really tricks the brain into thinking you are on a holiday.”
