Some Queenslanders remain displaced out of their flood-ravaged properties one year on from the devastating 2022 flood disaster.

9 News senior reporter Peter Fegan says his parents, whose home flooded in the days after the February deluge, are one case study among thousands who are still displaced.

He says it is taking months and it’s a continuous “waiting game”.

“Twelve months on, their house is a shell,” he told Bill McDonald.

“Not one builder has looked at it.”
