EXCLUSIVE: Annastacia Palaszczuk discusses Queensland’s youth crime crisis

Broadcasting from the Ekka, Sofie Formica was joined by the Queensland Premier to address the state’s most pressing concerns, including the youth crime crisis. 

The youth crime crisis has been at the forefront of Queensland, garnering widespread attention and sparking discussions about effective solutions.

Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk told Sofie Formica on Afternoons, “In relation to victims, we are absolutely committed to putting in place a Victims’ Commissioner, I think that is really important.”

“Already in Townsville we have started to see, according to our Assistant Commissioner some drop in the number of youth of offenders, and they really are focusing on the core group of repeat offenders,” Premier Palaszczuk continued.
