Since being alerted to the dodgy practices of Hopper Blinds, John Stanely has been inundated with emails from listeners who have fallen victim to the scam.

The business is being investigated by NSW Fair Trading after owner Justin Hopper was caught taking deposits from customers and then disappearing without completing the job.

“It breaks your heart to read this,” says John.

One listener forked out $4200 for laminate flooring, another paid $3100.

In both cases, Hopper failed to complete the job.

“This isn’t a situation where people are just handing the money over in a naive way.”

The Ray Hadley Morning Show has been trying to contact Justin Hopper, but with no success.

The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal has awarded refunds to the two listeners, but neither have heard from Hopper.

“So why is this boke still around?”
