Several towns in Queensland have shivered through their coldest day of the year in 30 years.

Yesterday, Biloela had its coldest day on record at 11 degrees.

While the Gold Coast Seaway recorded its coldest day in 11 years at 14 degrees.

The chilly weather is being blamed on a mixture of a cloud band, rainfall and a southerly air mass.

Tomorrow Brisbane is expected to hit 21 degrees, but the rain will continue until Friday.
