The weather in South East Queensland is changing rapidly, making for some frosty morning wake-ups.

Long-range weather forecaster, Ken Kato told Laurel, Gary & Mark on 4BC Breakfast that tomorrow morning will be one of the coldest in South East Queensland.

Mr Kato said these cold starts are more typical in winter rather than May, suggesting winter may be hitting a little early this year.
