A cleaning company based on the Sunshine Coast says it has been “diabolical” searching for staff and turning down clients.

It’s gotten to the point where the owners have had to let go of existing clients and countless hours of work in the past two months because they don’t have enough workers.

Sunshine Coast Cleaner co-owner Christine McDonald says they are “turning down work” every day.

“We are virtually having to cull our client base because we can’t keep up with the work because we haven’t got enough workers to do the work,” she told Neil Breen on Brisbane Live.

She says it has been “diabolical” with the demand so high.
