Neil Breen has urged Queenslanders to check their energy bills and correspondence from their suppliers, amid rising costs.

Yesterday, Neil highlighted the story of the owner of a popular cafe and restaurant in Ipswich who said he will have to cough up an extra nearly $8000 for electricity.

Fourthchild Cafe and Restaurant owner Ross Williams received a notice from his supplier alerting him to the cost increase, to kick in this month.

It prompted Neil to check correspondence from his own electricity supplier.

He found out he’d be slugged an extra $350.97 for electricity in the next 12 months.
