Brisbane is bustling this weekend with events occurring all over the city, but is there room for more?

This weekend, Brisbane is hosting the NRL Qualifying Final, the AFL Qualifying Final, Bundaberg Rum Country Music Raceday is being held at Doomben Racecourse.

Brisbane Deputy Mayor, Krista Adams, told Peter Gleeson on Drive, “We are absolutely a buzz since in Brisbane from the Matildas, right through to now we’re in the footy finals, and the electricity, you can feel it in the air. We need to keep it going.”

“We’ve always worked very strongly, the Brisbane City Council, with what was formerly Brisbane Marketing…to make sure we fill the calendar. And what we love seeing on our calendar is where we start overlapping with people who come for a week because there’s so much on…” Councillor Adams continued.
