Brisbane’s population is set to increase to 1.5 million by 2041 and the council is planning to reach new heights. 

The Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner is planning to build residential towers in inner Brisbane.

The high rises are estimated to be capped at 274 metres.

The planned suburbs for the residential towers are Carindale, Indooroopilly, Chermside, Mt Gravatt, Toowong, and Toombul.
