Electricity prices are soaring but there may be a way to think smarter with energy usage. 

Powerplay is a Brisbane start-up company that has developed a way to measure the best times for high energy use at the lowest price.

The company has collated data which has found that electricity is the cheapest during the day, due to the higher generation rates and less usage.

Co-founder of Powerplay, Phoenix Shaw-Collery told Peter Gleeson on 4BC Drive, “Our modelling shows, based on industry data over the last five years, that if people shift a bit of their energy usage to the day, they could save hundreds [of dollars] every year.”
