A 72-year-old woman has tragically died after colliding with an allegedly stolen ute north of Brisbane. 

The woman was trapped in the Suzuki Swift she was driving and received CPR at the scene.

The man driving the ute fled the scene on foot and was later found near Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe.

Update: The man has been charged and will face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday the 23rd of September.
