2018 Golden Guitar winners, Aleyce Simmonds and Brad Butcher combine to bring you the A + B = Country In Your Town tour.

Highly respected for their songwriting prowess, both artists show no signs of slowing down.

Despite “planning a quieter year in music” Aleyce, a local from country music capital Tamworth, tells Ray Hadley the Golden Guitar award “shook things up a little bit”.

“It’s been really great. It has opened doors.”

Brad, who took out the award for New Talent Of The Year, ditched his mining job for music after 12 years in the industry.

“I threw my job in April last year and haven’t looked back.”

He says he “got the bug” from his mother who played in bands through her teen years.

“My first guitar was a hand-me-down from mum, that was when I was 11-years-old.”

Since becoming good friends over the years, Aleyce says touring together came easy.

“When you go on the road with someone, you have to go on the road with someone you like and someone you can stand.”
