Brisbane’s walkability is set to improve ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic games.

The Committee for Brisbane announced yesterday that they want to make Brisbane more walkable.

Executive Officer for Queensland Walks, Anna Campbell, told Laurel, Gary and Mark that the goal is to make Brisbane “the most accessible, most walkable, roll-able and stroll-able city for the Paralympics and the Olympics”.

Think more trees and shade on the footpaths and better walkways connecting suburbs to the city.

But significant investment is needed to make this a reality.
