PM scraps plan to raise retirement age to 70
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has scrapped plans to raise the retirement age to 70 by 2035.
It is Mr Morrison’s first policy backflip but he says the unpopular measure is no longer needed to save the budget money.
It is a decision welcomed by National Seniors and chief advocate Ian Henschke tells Mark it is a positive step but much more needs to be done.
