New data reveals shocking child homelessness crisis
CEO of Homelessness Australia, Kate Colvin, joined Jason Matthews to talk about the new data revealing that over 13,000 unaccompanied Australian children aged 12 to 17 experienced homelessness in 2023-2024.
This issue is primarily driven by family violence and neglect, and made worse by significant gaps in support systems that are not designed for children, particularly those as young as 12.
