The future of Magic Round beyond 2027 is uncertain, as the NRL considers other cities to host the event. 

2GB Mornings host and member of the Continuous Call Team, Mark Levy, told Bill McDonlad on 4BC Mornings, “It belongs here. It should stay here. It wouldn’t work anywhere else.”

“And I say that as somebody who’s travelled the country and covered sport. Yes, rugby league works in Perth, it works in Melbourne, all that sort of thing, that’s Origin.”

” Magic round worked so well at Suncorp Stadium, so I can’t believe I’m siding with Queenslanders. Leave it in bloody Brisbane,” Levy continued.
