Following the announcement of the cancellation of the 2026 Victoria Commonwealth Games, questions have been raised about the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. 

Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews, announced that the Victoria Commonwealth Games would be cancelled due to financial costs.

However, the Queensland Premier said the Brisbane Olympics are going ahead, “We are in a sound financial situation, our situation is very different than the Victorian Government.”
