The sign Brisbane’s CBD is slowly coming back to life after the pandemic

Brisbane’s CBD is slowly coming back to life after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brisbane Deputy Lord Mayor Krista Adams says foot traffic is slowly improving.

“We are seeing our pedestrian movements through the Queen Street mall back up to 76 per cent which is pretty close to our pre-COVID levels, not as good as we had it just before Christmas but a very good sign people are coming back,” she told Peter Fegan on 4BC Drive.

In another sign of normality, preparations for the Ekka are underway, with organisers due to start setting up soon after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions.
