A listener of 4BC Breakfast says she’s terrified of becoming homeless from the rental crisis while she battles bowel cancer. 

Kim and her husband Kevin are being evicted from their home next month and say they’re at serious risk of being forced to live on the streets.

Despite being up to date with their rent and applying for more than 30 other properties, they’ve only received five inspections.

“There’s so many people, obviously,” Kim told Breenie.

“What I’m scared of Neil is not only being homeless, Kevin’s working fulltime but after I have my chemo, for four or five days afterwards, I’m just wasted.”
