Latest: Queensland’s new COVID-19 rules ease tonight
Queensland’s isolation rules will ease tonight, with close contacts of a COVID-19 case no longer needing to quarantine unless they test positive.
From 6pm, close contacts who aren’t showing any symptoms will be able to leave their homes.
They will however need to be symptom free, test themselves every two days, and wear a mask while indoors.
Quarantine requirements for unvaccinated international travellers will also be lifted today.
Overseas arrivals will only need to return a negative COVID test within 24 hours of arriving.
