Did you see the story on 9 News last night about the campaign to save the East Brisbane Bowls Club?

It was established in 1905 – but hasn’t seen a game of bowls played there for over a decade.

These days the rather ugly looking brick building is used by local artists and performers – in particular the ‘Backbone’ arts organisation – and they’re not happy with the plan to knock down the old bowlo and build a park.
