Around 300 people will attend a community forum in Toowoomba tonight in response to the city’s crime wave.

It follows recent incidents and growing concern in the community.

9 News senior reporter Tim Arvier says around 300 people are expected to turn up as well as Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll and Police Minister Mark Ryan.

“There’s been a bit of unrest that the Premier isn’t making the trip up, that criticism has been amplified by the state Opposition,” he told Neil Breen.

He said it was a curious move.
