Two men have been charged with attempted murder after allegedly setting a man on fire.

Police allege they entered a Woolloongabba unit on Easter Monday, where they doused a man in accelerant and set him alight.

The 39-year-old suffered significant burns to his head and body while the two accused fled the scene.

A 41- and 43-year-old men have been remanded in custody and will appear in court next month.
