Michael McLaren has shared his take on the recent collaboration between Labor and the Coalition on gambling, saying it’s clear it was a move to prove they can still govern effectively.

However, the Afternoons host says that while it’s one thing to pass legislation, it still needs to be good legislation.

“Instead of celebrating a rare moment in bipartisanship, we should be asking why we’re getting these things wrong in the first place,” he said.
