Married men are less likely to die within five years of being diagnosed with heart disease than bachelors, new research shows. 

The Big Smoke founder Alex Senter told Laurel, Gary & Mark the same doesn’t go for married women.

“They’re saying that for women, there was no link between marital status and they’re risk of death from heart failure, but for men, there was.

“There was a lot of different reasons as to why being married was associated with lower risk than men who were single.”
