‘Why I said no to Roos’- Brad Fittler’s first interview on shock withdrawal from race to replace Mal Meninga

Brad Fittler has broken his silence to Adam Hawse on why he withdrew from contention for the vacant Kangaroos head coaching position.
Despite being considered the front-runner, it’s understood Fittler has opted to focus on his existing media commitments rather than taking on the prestigious national team role.
He told Adam Hawse, “There was an opportunity there… but in the situation at the moment with my commitments to Channel 9 and I work for the NRL… I’m enjoying all of that”.
Fittler also told Adam that Kevin Walters and Cameron Smith, “Have put their hand up for the role”.
