Why Gillmeister ‘wouldn’t want to be Mal’ as World Cup squad named

There’s plenty of commentary about the players snubbed in Mal Meninga’s Kangaroos squad but Trevor Gillmeister is happy with who made the cut.
Dally M medallist Nicho Hynes and Penrith star Dylan Edwards were among those to miss out, instead relegated to standby, should there be injuries in the squad.
“I wouldn’t want to be Mal, actually, and Laurie Daley and Darren Lockyer,” the Axe told Bill McDonald. “It’s just hard to pick a team, regarding the amount of depth we’ve got now.”
