Lions midfield star Hugh McCluggage says the team are looking forward to a rare hit-out at the MCG when they take on the reigning Premiers Melbourne tomorrow night.

Tomorrow’s clash will be the Lions only game at the MCG this home-and-away season, and they will be without skipper Dayne Zorko who failed a fitness test.

The Demons will also be without their captain, Max Gawn, who’s out with a syndesmosis injury.

McCluggage says he expects the contest to be won around the contest

“They like to get it going forward and they’ve got some great midfielders,” he told Peter Psaltis on the Wide World of Sports.

“So we need to be really strong in there, and hunt the ball really well, and get it going forward into our very dangerous forward-line as well.”
