What happens next after Star deemed unfit to hold casino licences

Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman says there is a real possibility Star Casinos could have their licence suspended or cancelled, after a damning inquiry was handed to the government.
The independent review by former judge Robert Gotterson led the government to find Star Entertainment unsuitable to hold casino licences in Queensland.
Twelve recommendations have been made, which have been accepted by the government in-principle.
“This is seismic,” Neil Breen explained.
Star has casinos in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast as a well as the licence for the Queen’s Wharf development.
Attorney-General Fentiman said there were many concerning findings.
“We will now have a show cause process, and there are many options available to government,” Attorney-General Fentiman said on Brisbane Live.
“Which includes directions, censures, fines, and yes the very real possibility of suspension or cancellation of a licence.
“That doesn’t mean the doors close, I just want to be very very clear, it just means that that particular company, Star, may lose their licence, there may be conditions on their licence.”
