The mother of rescued girl Cleo Smith says her family is now focused on the healing process.

The little girl’s parents have spoken publicly in the aftermath of the four-year-old’s 18-day abduction from a WA campsite.

Cleo’s mother Ellie has told Neil Breen, the family is taking it one day at a time.

“She knows more than you’d want your child to know but she’s kind of entered into the big, bad world and left that innocent side of being a child.

“But we’re going through it, getting our lives back to our new normal.”
