‘We’ve got to break that cycle’: Lloyd Clarke reacts to plan to criminalise coercive control
The parents of Hannah Clarke say they they won’t rest until coercive control laws have taken effect in Queensland.
The state government yesterday announced a bill to criminalise coercive control will be introduced by the end of next year.
Lloyd Clarke said there’s still plenty of work to be done, especially with educating police and youths.
“Unfortunately, there’s a lot of children out there, they see what mum and dad do and they think that’s the norm,” he told Neil Breen.
“This is where we’ve got to break that cycle and show that no, you don’t have to be like mum and dad.”
