Queenslanders are encouraged to take on new adventures while the opportunities are rife.

The state government has offered to pay up to 50 per cent of selected local tourism expenses in an effort to give the sector a shot in the arm.

Among the offers, Brisbanites can score an annual pass to Riverlife for half its usual cost, giving access to kayaks, electric bikes and Kangaroo Point cliff climbs.

Riverlife owner John Sharpe told Sofie Formica now’s the perfect time for Queenslanders to get out and enjoy their own state.

“Not only have we got the place to ourselves and we can do so many great things, the government’s paying for half of it!

“It’s been perfect timing.”
