WATCH | ‘Ferocious’ attack in hotel lift caught on CCTV

A man has been jailed over a “ferocious” attack where he repeatedly punched strangers over a bag of fast food in Sydney.
The Daily Telegraph reports 20-year-old Paul Lipano will serve at least 19 months behind bars after attacking men he didn’t know in a lift at Meriton Suites on Kent Street in June.
CCTV footage shows Lipano repeatedly punching the men in an unprovoked attack after they wouldn’t give him their bag of fast food.

Lipano was sentenced to a maximum three-year sentence with a non-parole period of 19 months after pleading guilty to affray, resisting police and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The court heard he was under the influence of ice, cannabis and alcohol at the time.
Ray Hadley says the attack is incredibly cowardly and Lipano deserved the sentence he received.
“The ferocious nature of the attack by this imbecile Paul Lipano has to be seen to be believed.”
