An economics expert has criticised the government’s announcement of spending more than a billion dollars on the Snowy Hydro 2.0 scheme.

Frontier Economics Managing Director Danny Price tells Ross Greenwood it’s a “waste of taxpayers money”.

“It’s really important that taxpayers hold politicians to account for the economics of these projects and just don’t believe ministers when they say it’s a great thing for them.”
