A number of streets in Warwick have been shut down as police respond to reports of an armed person. 

An emergency declaration was made on the Southern Downs around 10pm yesterday, closing streets where officers are negotiating with a man holed up inside his property.

Homes surrounded by Wood Street, Gore Street, Grafton Street and Dragon Street have been placed into lockdown.
