FIFA has taken over Suncorp Stadium ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and they had attempted to cover any trace of Rugby League.

FIFA have now backflipped on plans to cover up names of iconic statues around Suncorp Stadium.

Wally Lewis, Rugby League Great, told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, “I guess with that being the home of soccer while it’s going on, I guess they didn’t really want people looking at rugby league statues.”

‘It was soccer, soccer or soccer. That was the centre of their attention,” Mr. Lewis continued.
