A popular Brisbane restaurant has gone up in flames this morning.

Emergency services were called to the West End businesses around 10am, with almost a dozen fire crews sent out to tackle the blaze.

It’s understood the Lebanese cuisine business had been owned by a family for more than 30 years.

A busy West End street has been closed in both directions as emergency services respond to a building in flames.

Police have blocked off Vulture Street in both directions between Boundary Street and Hardgrave Road.

The building reportedly houses a food outlet.
