Victim whose Brisbane home was shot at makes plea to police on 4BC

Police have responded to a plea for help made by a caller on 4BC Drive, after her Macgregor house was shot at back in December.
Sarah called in to 4BC Drive on Tuesday afternoon and said someone shot at her house on December 31 at 10.30pm.
She’s since learned it was likely a case of mistaken identity.
She said Queensland had become the “crime state” and nothing had been done to catch the gunman.
“It took me three calls to Triple Zero to get through, and when the police finally came we had a live bullet on the driveway, we had the neighbour’s CCTV ready … we begged the police to put it on police media.”
She says they were living in fear and they were told to “move house”.

In a statement to 4BC Drive this afternoon, a spokesperson said detectives were investigating the shooting.
“The Queensland Police Service (QPS) understands events such as these can be very traumatic for victims and local police reached out to offer support and referral to other services for the victim after the incident occurred.
“After finalising a number of other important investigative strategies, a media release seeking assistance from the public has been issued.”
