Veteran Aussie golfer Craig Parry winds back the clock at the Australian Open

Craig Parry has been one of Australia’s premiere golfers for more than 30 years now.

At 51-years-old he could be forgiven for taking a backwards step and allowing the next generation to takeover.

Instead Parry has wound back the clock, blasting a second round 67 to move right into contention at the Australian Open.

With 21 worldwide victories to his name, Parry has told 4BC’s Chris Smith he’s desperate to perform at The Australian Golf Club.

“You want to play well anytime you go out and play but this golf course suits my eye. I’m a member here now.

“It’s in fantastic condition. It’s probably one of the best conditioned courses the guys have played all year.”

The veteran golfer also made it clear he’s an avid 4BC listener.

“I’m always listening. It’s always on the radio, I really do enjoy all the different programs so thank you.”
