Vegas all shook up amid crackdown on Elvis weddings
The licensing company that controls Elvis Presley’s legacy is ordering Las Vegas wedding operators to pay up or ditch Elvis-themed ceremonies.
Authentic Brands Group has sent cease-and-desist letters to most chapels in the city, which it argues are using Elvis’ likeness without permission.
“Here’s the point: they want them to go by a licence,” US correspondent Harley Carnes told Neil Breen.
“It’ll be tough for some of them to afford it but they all have to do it if they want to [continue]!”
