‘Utterly churlish’: Ray Hadley slams ‘brat’ Lidia Thorpe over Senate display
Greens Senator Lidia Thorpe described the Queen as a coloniser when she was told to recite the oath of allegiance for Australian parliamentarians on Monday.
Ms Thorpe walked to the Senate floor with her right fist raised in the air before being asked to repeat the oath as written.
“Her performance yesterday in the federal Senate was just absolutely and utterly churlish, childish and more suited to a reality TV show being filmed on some island,” Ray Hadley said.
“For her leader Adam Bandt to support her shows why the 10 per cent of the population, who regularly vote for the Greens, are just misguided fools who need to take a long, hard look at themselves.”
