Queensland has recorded one new cases of coronavirus today, which is not linked to a known cluster.

A Fitzgibbon woman aged in her 50s was infectious in the community for 10 days.

Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young says the woman had not visited any known exposure sites.

Investigations into how she was infected have begun in response.

Dr Young says she is “reasonably reassured” by the fact none of the woman’s household members have become infected and the woman was fully-vaccinated.

However, she would like to see testing numbers spike in response to the detection of this case.

“I just need that increased testing to make sure we don’t have any transmission going on.”
