2021 Dally M medallist Tom Trbojevic says the forward pack was “instrumental” to his and his club’s success this year.

The Manly Sea Eagles fullback won it by 5 votes, ahead of Nathan Cleary.

“You look at past winners and the calibre of players on there, pretty thrilled to be mentioned alongside them now,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.

He said there was a feeling of disappointment after getting so close to the grand final.

“People will learn from this and we will come back next year and hopefully be better.”
