The Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry will be handed down on Friday.

Launched in December 2017, the royal commission has no doubt revealed historical gross misconduct in the finance sector.

The final report will be handed to the government, to be released publicly on late Monday afternoon.

Ross Greenwood will be covering the report live from Canberra.

Someone who has been instrumental to the royal commission is Nationals Senator John ‘Wacka’ Williams.

Speaking with Ross Greenwood, he delves into history and consequences of the banking royal commission.

He says “culture” is where it all went wrong.

“Culture, Ross, in one word why the banks went wrong and why they lost the trust of the Australian people.

“It was a case of profit, profit, profit and to hell with the people.”
