Three-year-old Memphis arrives home to a warm reception
A three-year-old boy left stranded in NSW has arrived home today after Queensland Health granted him an exemption.
Memphis went to visit his grandparents on a cattle station south of Griffith on July 9, and has been there ever since.
He’s been unable to return home to his parents until yesterday, after a huge reaction from the public.
This afternoon, there were emotional scenes at Archerfield Airport when he was reunited with his mum, Dominique Facer.
The family will now go into home quarantine for 14 days.
If this isn’t the best thing I’ve seen all week. Memphis is reunited with his mother. @9NewsQueensland pic.twitter.com/Vzkcf74BWd

Earlier, she told Neil Breen Angel Flight had organised his flight home.
“Angel Flight have so generously arranged flights for Memphis to come from Griffith directly to Brisbane, and arranged for me to go from Hervey Bay to Brisbane, to bring him back to Hervey Bay.
“I’m just so overwhelmed and just finally happy that I’ll be able to see my little boy today.”
